Cast iron grit from the group of metallic abrasive materials

Cast iron grit refers to sharp-edged particles formed by grinding cast iron granules produced by the spray of liquid metal.

It is manufactured in accordance with the standard ČSN 429823, which is similar to international standards such as DIN 8201 or BS 2451 (EN ISO 11124-2,3).

Cast iron grit is used for surface blasting, removing corrosion, old coatings, cleaning castings, metallurgical materials, stone blasting, or stone cutting.

It is also added as an admixture to concrete to increase the resistance of piles against carbonic and acidic waters during construction foundation.

Additionally, it is used in recreational pyrotechnics (sparklers and fireworks), as an ingredient in special concretes for protection against radioactive radiation, and in abrasion-resistant and heavy-duty concretes.

Cast iron grit is used for blasting castings and steel materials, descaling of metallic materials, cutting, removing galvanization and old coatings, cutting, and grinding of stone elements, recreational pyrotechnics, and adding to special concrete for protection against radioactive radiation.

It is recommended to use this material for blasting in a blasting cabinet or blasting hall.
